Number of pilgrims who performed Umrah during 2023 reached a record number of 13.55 million

On Monday, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, Minister of Hajj and Umrah, declared that a record 13.55 million pilgrims had completed the Umrah in twenty-three. He anticipated that there will be five million more Umrah pilgrims in 2020 compared to 2019, a 58 percent rise.
The minister said these at the Jeddah Superdome during the third annual Hajj and Umrah Services Conference and Exhibition. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman, is sponsoring the four-day conference.
The minister mentioned that in order to improve the infrastructure of the holy sites, Saudi Arabia has started initiatives totaling more than SR5 billion. Al-Rabiah stated that transportation industry partners were attempting to expand direct flights from 164 to 216 locations, a 32 percent increase.
