Nusuk pilgrim card has been launched which will be in use for the forthcoming annual pilgrimage of Hajj 2024

The Nusuk pilgrim card, introduced by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, will be utilized during the upcoming annual Hajj pilgrimage in 2024.

On Tuesday, April 30, while on an official visit to Indonesia, Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah launched the Nusuk card by giving a copy of it to Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs Yaqut Cholil Qoumas in Jakarta.

Dr. Al-Rabiah and his Indonesian colleague Qoumas talked about the last-minute arrangements and methods to simplify services for the pilgrims from Indonesia, the largest Muslim nation sending the highest number of pilgrims ever—24,1000—for this year's Hajj.

The introduction of the card is the most recent in a string of changes made by the Saudi Arabian government as part of its ongoing efforts to provide pilgrims with every convenience possible and to give them access to cutting-edge technologies that will make their journey of faith easier throughout their lifetime.

The goal of the Nusuk pilgrim card is to increase the effectiveness of operational procedures for the upcoming Hajj season in order to simplify and ease the pilgrimage and reduce the number of cases of conducting Hajj in an unauthorized manner. It is intended to be simple to automatically read.

In addition to making it easier for Hajj staff to identify and confirm each pilgrim's identification, the card also helps keep unauthorized people out of the holy sites, protecting everyone's safety and security.

The card is available in print and digital formats, according to the government. The printed version of the card will be sent to pilgrims via their individual Hajj missions or Hajj service providers and organizations, with whom they have signed agreements to carry out the journey.

Via pilgrim's account on the Nusuk and Tawakkalna applications, the digital copy is accessible. According to the ministry, in order to receive the digital version of the card, the traveler must first scan the QR code on the printed card and then follow the instructions.
