29 Aug 2024
NewsApplications for licenses to provide Managed Security Operations Centre (MSOC) services in the Kingdom are now being accepted, according to a statement released by the National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA). Developing the cybersecurity industry, fostering investment in the cybersecurity market, and boosting competitiveness are among NCA's strategic goals, all of which include this action. This will help to raise the quality of services offered to national organisations.
According to NCA, MSOC licence applications will be accepted via the National Cybersecurity Services Portal "Haseen" beginning on Wednesday, 28 August and running for 60 days. With this, the National Cybersecurity Strategy's goals of bolstering cybersecurity in the Kingdom and creating an integrated cybersecurity ecosystem to satisfy the rising demand for cybersecurity services would be met.
This will foster the growth of specialised national skills in this area as well as provide national organisations with access to dependable, experienced, and high-quality cybersecurity services. Additional information has been released by NCA via its website, which can be found at nca.gov.sa/en/registration-and-licensing. The information includes a "Investor's Guide" that explains the path taken by investors and service providers in the cybersecurity space.
In order to license Managed Security Operations Centre services in the Kingdom, service providers are invited by NCA to apply for a license via the NCA Portal "Haseen" and to meet the standards outlined in the "Regulatory Framework for Licensing Managed Security Operations Centre Services."
