Plans has been unveiled to develop more than 100 historical sites in Makkah and Madinah

Plans to develop more than 100 ancient landmarks in Makkah and Madinah were presented by the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah.

"The ministry will seek to develop these historical places with high quality and standard, in coordination and collaboration with partners from other organisations. The Doyof of Al-Rahman Programme strives to enhance tourists' Hajj and Umrah experiences, creating memorable ones in Makkah and Madinah, he stated. One of the Saudi Vision 2030 executive programmes is the Doyof Al Rahman (Guests if the Most Merciful) Programme, which includes integration and collaboration with 70 organisations in the governmental, commercial, and nonprofit sectors.

Al-Rabiah made this statement on Monday while speaking at a programme called "Partners" in Makkah's Hira Cultural Neighbourhood. The minister announced the opening of an online ticketing system for Makkah's historical and cultural monuments, including Hira Cave and the other sites that would be built. God has given our nation the enormous honour of servicing the Hajj and Umrah pilgrims as well as the Two Holy Mosques. Muslims are curious to learn about the rich histories of Makkah and Madinah, he added. Dr. Al-Rabiah was present when cooperation agreements were signed with many Umrah businesses.
