Punishment for violators of the provisions of Security Surveillance Cameras Law has been announced

NewsThe Security Surveillance Cameras Law's penalties have been made public by the Ministry of Interior. It said that anybody who transmits or publishes recordings against the law, or tampers with or destroys security surveillance camera system equipment or records, shall be subject to a fine of SR 20,000.
The ministry stated that the fine is SR10000 for each infraction involving the installation of security surveillance cameras inside locations where such installations are forbidden and SR5,000 for failing to retain recordings for the duration specified in the terms and conditions document.
