An Opening Gala Dinner will kick off Riyadh Fashion Week, attracting more than 250 opinion leaders and stakeholders from the global fashion industry. The event will serve as a networking platform, encouraging connections and conversation.
The Saudi Fashion Commission, which participated in Paris Men's Fashion Week and Couture Week, where Saudi designers displayed a variety of collections from the Saudi 100 Brands programme, a new mentorship effort run by the Fashion Commission, originally announced the fashion week. It is noteworthy that, according to the "State of Fashion in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (2023)" study, Saudi Arabia's fashion sector has the highest predicted growth rates of any other sizable, high-income market.
Saudi Arabia's retail fashion sales are predicted to increase by 48% to $32 billion between 2021 and 2025, a 13% annual growth rate. The Kingdom's projected economic development and expanding population are predicted to fuel this rise, with clothes, accessories, footwear, and luxury products all likely to see large gains. In 2021, the GCC spent $9.6 billion on high-end clothing, with Saudi Arabia accounting for a 19% increase.
