News EventThe Riyadh International Book Fair 2024 began on Thursday and has over 2,000 Saudi, Arab, and worldwide publishing firms and organisations from over 30 countries exhibiting their works. With a comprehensive schedule of more than 200 programs appropriate for all ages scattered throughout 800 pavilions at King Saud University, guests and book lovers will have a singular intellectual and cultural experience. The festival of books is being attended by a sizable number of authors, philosophers, intellectuals, and book lovers from Saudi Arabia and other countries.
The Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission is in charge of organising the book fair, which has "Riyadh Reads" as its subject.
The event, which runs until October 5, solidifies Riyadh's standing as one of the Arab world's most significant global cultural hubs. The festival is an important forum for publishers, as well as for intellectual and cultural interchange, and a gathering place for authors, as it attracts participation from Saudi, Arab, and worldwide cultural organisations and institutions.
The most significant pioneers of literature, art, and culture, as well as the most well-known organisations involved in cultural activity in that nation, are in Qatar this year as the book fair's honoured guest.
A variety of cultural activities will take place on the fair's fringes, covering a broad range of subjects, such as panel discussions, lectures, poetry nights, theatrical productions, and seminars. Book signing platforms will let the audience to meet their favourite writers and get their latest books autographed. There will also be a specific children's area with cultural and entertainment activities, as well as a special section highlighting works by Saudi authors.
The book fair is available to the public every day for ten days from 11 am to 12 am with the exception of Fridays, when it is open from 2 pm to 12 am.
