The Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) started its journey in 2006, founded by the Public Investment Fund (PIF). SAR plays a significant and prominent role in supporting the country’s development and economic diversification efforts, as it’s responsible for transporting 60 million tons of cargo since the freight operations started and 2.9 million of passengers annually.
