NewsAs part of its endeavors to assist global efforts to promote this industry, the Ministry of Energy announced that Saudi Arabia has joined the International Partnership for the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Economy (IPHE) plan.
The fact that Saudi Arabia has joined this cooperation is a new development that demonstrates its leadership in advancing sustainable development and cutting-edge renewable energy technologies.
As part of the circular carbon economy approach, it also supports Saudi Arabia's goal to become one of the world's leading producers and exporters of clean hydrogen and to reach zero neutrality by 2060, or earlier, depending on the availability of the required technologies.
In order to expedite the development and implementation of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies and support a fair and efficient global transition to cleaner and more efficient energy systems, member states can strengthen their cooperation through the International Partnership for the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Economy.
Additionally, it seeks to promote the growth of pertinent research and technologies, foster knowledge sharing among its members, and increase public awareness and education regarding the significance of clean hydrogen and its critical role in attaining sustainable development.
