NewsAccording to the recently released Stanford University International Index for Al 2024, a comprehensive resource for researchers, policymakers, and industry experts, Saudi Arabia has been ranked among the first nations in the world to develop a national strategy for artificial intelligence. The ranking attests to Saudi Arabia's accomplishments in the fields of data and Al as well as the fulfillment of Saudi Vision 2030's objectives, with 70% of them directly and the remainder indirectly related to Al. The nation holds a notable position in multiple global metrics, including Al.
Established in 2019, the SDAIA is the national reference for all things pertaining to the organization, development, and management of data, particularly big data. In order to guarantee Saudi Arabia's ascent to leadership in the economies based on information, data, and Al, SDAIA aims to modernize the national data and Al agenda and implement it at the national level.
This move builds on Saudi Arabia's accomplishments from 2023, when it was named #1 globally in the Government Strategy Index for Al, regarded as one of the indices of the global categorization of Al published by "Tortoise Intelligence," which evaluates over 60 nations.
The Stanford University International Index for Al 2023 also showed that Saudi Arabia ranked second in the world on social awareness of Al.
