Saudi Arabia revealed the procedural guide that allows the temporary entry of foreign tourist marine vessels into its waters

NewsThe Saudi Arabian government unveiled the procedure guide that permits international tourist marine vessels to temporarily enter its seas for a maximum of six months. The Saudi Red Sea Authority (SRSA) and the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority collaborated to produce the guidance.
The purpose of the handbook was to make clear the steps involved in allowing marine boats, foreign yachts, or visiting yachts to temporarily enter any tourist marina under the supervision of the appropriate government. Motorised cruise ships will be granted temporary entrance into Saudi Arabia in accordance with the guidelines.
Cruise ships, yachts, mega yachts, pleasure boats, dive boats, tanker boats, recreational submarines, and private marine vessels are a few examples of these. These ships will be permitted entry into Saudi Arabia for a six-month (180-day) term, with the option to extend it for an additional six months.
The book said that sailing ships designated as trimarans—multihull boats with a main hull and two smaller outrigger hulls—and catamarans—boats with two parallel hulls of equal size—as well as keel boats and sloops—will also be allowed temporary entrance.
The SRSA verified that the target group consists of travellers who are passing through the region designated by the relevant authorities throughout the duration of their residence permit or visa, as well as marine vessels that fly a foreign flag for any individual.
Procedures for temporary entrance will be facilitated by the guide with the required speed and efficiency. It states that in addition to keeping accurate and timely records of the services rendered to its clients and pertinent intermediaries for customs and tax purposes, the shipping agent must register with the authority by submitting an electronic application through the official website and fulfilling the pertinent requirements outlined in the shipping agents guide.
With sustainability at its core, the SRSA is striving to facilitate a robust tourism economy throughout the whole Red Sea coastline of the Kingdom. It is in charge of planning leisure pursuits, yacht and cruise ship trips, and the construction of defence systems for the coastal environment.
