Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority has so far issued more than 4,500 companies and venues to organize events

Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority has granted licences to more than 4,500 businesses and venues to host events and offer services in more than 100 locations since it was established in 2016 to support the industry's growth. There are 17 amusement parks, 257 entertainment centres specifically designed for entertainment, and 1,579 restaurants and cafés with a licence that host live acts.

On the support and services side, there are 645 businesses that provide operational assistance, 128 ticket administration and sales systems, 537 businesses that specialise in talent development, and 393 businesses that concentrate on crowd control.

Several businesses also play several roles in a variety of fields within the entertainment and allied industries. The GEA has attracted investment in the home sector with its range of initiatives, and more than 70 international businesses have been granted operating permits in the nation. The GEA was created in accordance with the Saudi Vision 2030 plan to expand the entertainment industry in the Kingdom, which would aid in economic diversification and the expansion of small and medium-sized enterprises.
