Saudi Arabia secured 14th position globally and tops the Arab world in Global AI Index for 2024

According to the Saudi Press Agency, Saudi Arabia has made tremendous progress in the field of artificial intelligence, ranking first in the Arab world and 14th overall in the Global AI Index for 2024. 

One of the metrics used by the UK-based news website Tortoise Media to classify artificial intelligence on a global scale is the Global AI Index. 

The noteworthy achievement of improving by 17 ranks out of 83 countries highlights Saudi Arabia's quick advancement in the use and development of AI.

The Global AI Index assesses performance using 122 variables categorized into three pillars: implementation, innovation, and investment. It is a thorough evaluation of AI capabilities across 83 nations. 

The talent, infrastructure, operating environment, research and development, government strategy, and commercial ecosystem are the seven sub-pillars that comprise these main pillars.
