Saudi Arabia to host the 2026 IDRA World Congress on Desalination and Water Reuse Solutions

The International Desalination and Reuse Association, on Monday, announced that Saudi Arabia would hold a global conference to address desalination projects and water concerns.

IDRA World Congress on Desalination and Water Reuse Solutions in 2026 will take place in Saudi Arabia. Riyadh was chosen during the IDRA 2026 congress being held in Abu Dhabi.

Saudi Arabia leads the world in water production, and the Saudi Water Authority claims that the amount of desalinated water the Kingdom generates everyday is equal to the amount of oil produced worldwide.

In addition to having a history of technological innovation in addressing water scarcity and attaining renewable energy, the Kingdom has developed a number of desalination facilities.
