Saudi Arabia to suspend municipal service fees of issuing licenses for commercial activity of hotels, hotel apartments, and residential resorts

NewsSaudi Arabia has taken a historic step to support the rapidly growing tourist and hospitality industry by suspending the municipal service costs associated with granting licenses for the operation of hotels, hotel flats, and residential resorts.
On the occasion of the orders issued by the highest authorities, Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb thanked and showed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the Crown Prince, and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.
Al-Khateeb emphasised that the choice is made in light of the continuous initiatives to create and streamline the investor experience and eliminate any hurdles or challenges that prevent investors from taking advantage of the growing number of investment possibilities in the travel and tourism industry.
By implementing the strictest international standards, the initiative seeks to lower operational costs and promote investment in the tourist industry, therefore making the Kingdom a top destination for foreign capital.
