Saudi Arabia will be the guest of honor at the New Delhi World Book Fair 2024 to be held from February 10 to 18

The New Delhi World Book Fair 2024 (NDWBF) will take place from February 10–18 in the Pragati Maidan in the Indian capital of New Delhi, with Saudi Arabia serving as the event's honoured guest.

The involvement of the Kingdom falls within the context of the long-standing historical ties that unite the two nations. Saudi Arabia is scheduled to participate and is anticipated to lead the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission in presenting an integrated cultural experience.

The King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah) will be joined by the Heritage Commission, Music Commission, Film Commission, Culinary Arts Commission, and Fashion Commission to represent a variety of Saudi cultural sectors and showcase the Kingdom's wealth of knowledge, heritage, antiquities, culture, and arts to the Indian public.

As part of its participation in the book fair, Saudi Arabia will showcase a wide range of cultural programmes, including seminars and dialogue sessions covering a variety of topics in the literary, artistic, cultural, and cognitive domains. Writers from the Kingdom and local publishing houses will be present to showcase the nation's creative talent and to evoke the country's rich cultural heritage.

In addition, two events will be organised in conjunction with the participation to showcase traditional performing arts and Saudi cuisine.

Notably, one of the most prominent international book fairs is the New Delhi World Book Fair 2024. The maiden launch of it took place in 1972. More than 600 global publishing firms that combine the goods of many cultures will take part in the enormous book festival. Under the Ministry of Education, the National Book Trust of India is in charge of organising the Fair.

Saudi Arabia's involvement fits within the context of the two friendly nations' strong fraternal ties as well as the Ministry of Culture's eagerness to further international cultural exchange as one of its strategic objectives under the auspices of Saudi Vision 2030.
