NewsThe 19th Internet Governance Forum (IGF) will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Centre from December 15–19, 2024. More than 10,000 people from 160 nations are anticipated to attend the five-day event, which will also include more than 1,000 foreign speakers.
IGF is an international forum with many stakeholders. Since 2006, the UN has organised the event, which promotes dialogue on internet-related public policy concerns and makes it easier to share knowledge, exchange experiences, and collaborate on solutions.
The forum seeks to establish global agreement on policies for more robust internet regulation among governments, the commercial sector, and non-profit organisations.
Saudi Arabia's dedication to digital growth and its prominent position in ICT and digital governance are reflected in its hosting of the IGF this year. It highlights the Kingdom's dedication to the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals and establishes it as a major worldwide conference location.
Digital entrepreneurs and experts from technology businesses will be present at the session.
