NewsOlfa Animal Treatment Company, a nonprofit organisation devoted to housing stray animals, offering medical treatment, and managing their reproduction, has been unveiled by Saudi Aramco.
The company's aim also encompasses educating the public and providing services that assist local initiatives in Saudi Arabia that promote humane treatment of animals by Islamic teachings and the standards of civilised behaviour.
Nabil Al-Jamea, Saudi Aramco's Executive Vice President of Human Resources, emphasised that this program is consistent with the business's long-standing dedication to social responsibility.
Olfa and the Eastern Province Municipality have previously inked a contract to work together on a number of animal care-related issues. The main goals of this collaboration are to provide care and rehabilitation facilities, enhance neighbourhood reporting and communication regarding stray animals, and stabilise animal reproduction.
The project will also focus on improving current solutions, educating the public about the value of animal welfare, and encouraging a feeling of accountability in pet ownership. It will also provide a platform for volunteers to help with animal care if they are interested.
