Saudi Business Center has decided to issue two licenses instantly to investors and business owners

The municipal commercial licence and the safety licence, which will be provided by the General Directorate of Civil Defence, are the two licences that the Saudi company Centre (SBC) has chosen to promptly grant to investors and company owners. According to the centre, the new service, which is accessible on the business platform of the centre, is designed to make it easier for companies to establish and run in the Kingdom by providing a Commercial Municipality Licence service. Additionally, it enables the business community to simultaneously request the issuing of two licences for over 600 commercial operations.

This comes after confirming a number of terms and conditions, chief among them the existence of a lease, title deed, or site investment contract, as well as the existence of an invoice for safety equipment or a Civil Defence safety report. This is on top of making sure that the guidelines for the activities listed on the "Salama" and "Baladi" portals of the General Directorate of Civil Defence and the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, respectively, are followed.

In order to create an inviting business environment that supports the Kingdom's economic growth, the centre disclosed that it would take on a variety of responsibilities, the most notable of which would be suggesting the creation of policies and procedures in conjunction with the pertinent government agencies, reviewing them, and re-engineering them to be more succinct and less costly.

Remarkably, the Saudi Business Centre offers approximately 750 services related to 65 government entities that deal with business in one location. This is done through the 17 branches of the centre, which are dispersed across 14 cities in the Kingdom. The center's digital business platform offers high-quality services that help entrepreneurs and investors finish their financial business processes.

It is significant to remember that the Cabinet decided to create the SBC in order to elevate the Kingdom to the status of one of the world's top nations in terms of the effectiveness, efficiency, and smoothness of its business-oriented government services. Organizationally, the Council of Economic and Development Affairs is connected to the centre.
