The inaugural "Saudi Elite Chefs" competition has been created by the Culinary Arts Commission with the aim of empowering and supporting bright Saudi cooks and encouraging a competitive spirit among the best in the country. Sunday, October 20, marked the start of registration for the competition.
Pro chefs, who possess exceptional culinary skills, are the competition's target audience. Competitors will create unique meals using regional products.
Participants can select the category that best fits their talents from the two main categories of the competition: main meals and desserts.
Strict grading standards including taste, presentation, and technical proficiency will be used to the competition. Additionally, participants must demonstrate a dedication to the culinary topic of sustainability, which highlights the significance of responsibly and creatively using local resources.
There will be many phases to it: between October 20 and October 31, there will be registration and qualification; between October 31 and November 10, the final qualification results will be announced. Following that, on November 20–24, a preliminary workshop will be held. This will culminate in the final competition, which will take place on November 25–26 at the Saudi Horeca expo.
In addition to getting an elite chef medal and privileged entrance into famous culinary contests, competitors will also receive unique invitations to take part in seminars and conversations centred around the culinary arts.
