Saudi interior ministry announced a new scheme allowing motorist to reduce their outstanding fines by 50 percent

The Saudi Interior Ministry on Thursday, unveiled a new programme that would enable drivers in the Kingdom to get a 50% reduction on their outstanding penalties. 

According to the law, drivers will have six months beginning on April 18 to utilise the grace policy. 

The decision was made "in implementation of the directives of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman."  as per the government.

It requested the drivers to follow the law and not break any traffic regulations.
