NewsThousands of Saudis will throng the flag-draped streets Wednesday to commemorate the 93rd anniversary of the Kingdom's national day. Families may have a great time with a variety of free activities.
The air show put on by the Royal Saudi Air Force's aerobatic squad, the Saudi Hawks, is one of the most widely anticipated activities. Six BAE Hawk Mk.65A aircraft will be flown by pilots in a gravity-defying spectacle, leaving a trail of Saudi flags in their wake.
Musicians from the Border Guard, the National Guard, and the Royal Guard will lead a military procession through Riyadh in horse-drawn artillery and other vehicles, at 4 p.m. From Prince Mohammed bin Saad bin Abdulaziz Road in the Qairawan neighbourhood to Umm Ajlan Park, the march will proceed.
The already busy Boulevard Riyadh City will host additional special activities, such as fireworks, a drone display, and conventional folkloric performances. The festivities serve as a sample of what the Kingdom might anticipate if its application to host Expo 2030 is accepted.
