Saudi Regional Cloud Seeding Program to work for improving weather condition; aim utilizing ground-based generators to stimulate clouds from high altitudes

NewsBy utilizing all available chances and technologies, the Saudi Regional Cloud Seeding Program has stated that it is actively striving to improve the meteorological conditions in the Kingdom. One of its main goals is to stimulate clouds from high altitudes using ground-based generators instead of aircraft. The program further stated that when this new cloud seeding technology is implemented, Makkah and the Holy Sites will be given precedence.
The program stated that in order to enhance the weather in the designated areas—which include the holy cities of Makkah and Arafat, Muzdalifah, and Mina—its Weather Improvement Department is operating under the direction of experts. This is being done in collaboration and partnership with foreign universities and research organizations that specialize in this area.
The CEO of the National Center of Meteorology and the general supervisor of the Regional Cloud Seeding Program had a discussion about this issue, according to the program.
In addition to the cloud physics research plane that recently went into service, the program will benefit from the new techniques of the cloud seeding program that were recently included. These include the ground generators that will soon work in the program to stimulate clouds from heights and not through airplanes. The program's goal is to showcase Saudi Arabia's accomplishments with the Regional Cloud Seeding Program by presenting these studies and research at pertinent international conferences.
