A professional snooker ranking competition, the Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters takes place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The World Snooker Tour is set to host the inaugural tournament, which will take place from August 31 to September 7, 2024.
With a total prize money of £2,000,000, the competition will have the second-highest prize pool behind the World Championship. It's one of the four main snooker competitions.
At the main arena in Riyadh, all 144 competitors in the 2024 Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters will compete. This is not like other professional tour big-field tournaments, where there are "qualifiers" that are occasionally hosted in a different nation and at a different location. In addition to the professional players, the draw included 17 Middle Eastern wildcards and a number of Q School top up amateurs.
