Saudiization of all jobs related to sales of insurance products comes to effect from April 15

The Saudiization of all occupations involving the sale of insurance goods is a government decision that will go into effect on Monday, April 15, according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. 

By working with the Insurance Authority, the ministry is putting this decision into action with the goal of boosting the insurance industry's economic activity and providing jobs for Saudi nationals. 

Until the desired Saudization % is attained, the Insurance Authority will monitor the decision's execution from the day it was issued. Under its supervisory and oversight responsibilities over the insurance industry, this falls under the purview of the authority.

The Insurance Authority decided in December 2023 to Saudize all positions involving the sale of insurance products starting in mid-April. According to the ruling, insurance employees who work in non-sales roles are not allowed to take any commissions from sales. 

The choice to localize the sales industry is anticipated to have a big effect on the industry as a whole as well as the Kingdom's overall rates of Saudization. This will enhance overall performance and elevate the caliber of services rendered, in addition to helping to create specific national capabilities relevant to the insurance industry.
