SR26 billion worth of purchase contracts were signed during the second World Defence Show (WDS), which concluded on Thursday. This was a noteworthy accomplishment. 106,000 people attended the event, which featured 773 exhibitors and 441 official representatives from 116 nations.
73 agreements, including 17 agreements for industrial partnerships, were signed at the event. Governor of the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), Eng. Ahmed Al-Ohali, expressed his appreciation to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for his crucial assistance and to King Salman, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, for his patronage.
The leadership's dedication to elevating the WDS into a flagship international event showcasing leading defence and security firms is demonstrated by this support. The occasion is in line with Saudi Vision 2030's objective of having 50% of military equipment and services purchased locally.
As part of its ongoing effort to promote collaboration and innovation and investigate commercial prospects in the defence and security sectors, Al-Ohali also expressed gratitude to all participating government agencies, regional and global businesses, and extended an invitation to participants to the 2026 WDS in Riyadh.
