NewsSheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, President of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, has inaugurated numerous digital programmes at the Grand Mosque Library aimed at enhancing library services and making knowledge available to tourists in new and creative ways.
These programmes cover the information management system, which makes it easier to search for and inquire about library resources, the smart digital portal, which provides online access to all information, the MEDAD cloud platform, which allows for easy and quick booking and use of resources, and the digital repository, which stores and displays resources in high-quality digital images.
The programmes also address the smart shelving and inventory device, which organises and improves information management, as well as the digitalization of the Grand Mosque's academic treasures, which include rare audio recordings of professors' talks, teachings, and recitations. Al-Sudais advised people to take advantage of these programmes in order to appreciate the library's contents, which include rare manuscripts, precious books, academic papers, audio cassettes, and other resources for researchers, students, and tourists.
