Several gates have been allocated at the Grand Mosque to receive pilgrims during the holy month of Ramadan

The Grand Mosque in Makkah has many gates that have been set aside for pilgrims to enter, marking the start of the auspicious month of Ramadan and the height of the yearly Umrah season. These gates are managed by the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.

The government departments housed within the Grand Mosque were consulted during the process of making these new arrangements. Millions of pilgrims from all over the world and within the Kingdom are anticipated to arrive during the holy month of Ramadan. The Saudi authorities have made all the necessary plans and preparations to guarantee that pilgrims and worshippers may carry out their rites in comfort and ease.

The Grand Mosque is accessible to Umrah pilgrims via the King Abdulaziz, King Fahd, Umrah, and Al-Salam gates, as well as the ground floor doors 85–93 (except door number 88), the Ajyad Staircase, the Ajyad Bridge, the Shubaika Stairways 65–66, the King Fahd Stairways 91–92, and Stairway 84. 

Side crossings 78–80, stairs 74, ordinary stairways 71–73–85–88, King Fahd staircase, doors 75–77, and 81–83 are the designated exits. The Al-Shubika staircase is reserved for emergencies. These can be found in addition to the ground floor entrances of King Abdulaziz, King Fahd, Umrah, and Al-Zubair; the first floor of Ajyad, Shubaika, and Othman Bridges; the second floor's Al-Arqam Stairway elevators; the floor's Ajyad Stairway elevators; the floor's Marwa Stairway elevators; and the roof for individuals with special needs.
