SFDA and South Koreas Ministry of Food and Drug Safety have enhanced ways of cooperation in food and medical products

NewsThe Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of South Korea have improved their levels of collaboration when it comes to food and medicinal goods. Following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Sunday on the fringes of South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol's visit to Saudi Arabia, Saudi Arabia and Korea agreed to collaborate in the areas of food and medical items.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to facilitate information exchange concerning pre-marketing evaluation, artificial intelligence research and regulations, innovative medical devices, scientific evaluation, laboratory tests, systems, standards, international coordination activities, and food control, quality assurance, and safety management.
It also intends to take part in collaborative training courses, seminars, workshops, and visits, as well as research in areas of shared interest, experience sharing, and guaranteeing the safety and quality of food and pharmaceuticals. Pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, medical device, and cosmetic items are also included in the sectors of the agreed Memorandum of Understanding between the two parties.
