The Ministry of Interior officially opened the Smart Gates Project at NEOM Bay Airport on Tuesday. Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Affairs Prince Dr. Bandar bin Abdullah, President of SDAIA Dr. Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, Director General of Passports Lt. Gen. Sulaiman Al-Yahya, Director of SDAIA National Information Center Dr. Esam Al-Wagait, and CEO of NEOM Eng. Nadhmi Al-Nasr attended the inaugural ceremony.
The General Directorate of Passports, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), and NEOM are working together on the initiative. Through the use of biometric data scanning at self-service kiosks, it seeks to increase the efficiency of passenger procedures.
As part of its efforts to improve living conditions in Saudi cities, Saudi Arabia is launching this initiative. High-efficiency digital technologies will be implemented.
