An important turning point in the Kingdom's cultural development will be reached on February 8th when Sotheby's holds its first auction in Saudi Arabia. Known as 'Origins,' the event will be the first international auction in Saudi Arabia's history. Diriyah, a cultural center and UNESCO World Heritage site that has come to represent Saudi Arabia's rich legacy and creative ambitions, will host the auction.
About 100 pieces will be up for auction at the 'Origins' auction, which will combine Saudi creativity with Sotheby's international selection. Attractive to both experienced collectors and novices, the two-part evening event will feature excellent art, luxury goods, and digital inventions.
The 'Origins' collection will be on public display for free from February 1 to February 8 at Diriyah's Bujairi Terrace prior to the sale. Throughout the week-long celebration of art, culture, and luxury, visitors will have the chance to see a variety of artworks, high-end goods, and cultural treasures. World-class dining, shopping, and heritage events are all part of Saudi Arabia's annual cultural celebration, Diriyah Season, which takes place throughout the exhibition.
