News EventOn the fringes of the first Riyadh Fashion Week, hosted by the Saudi Fashion Commission, the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) will host the TASAWAR exhibition from October 21 to 24. This event is a collaboration between Snapchat and the Ministry of Culture, and it will showcase how Augmented Reality (AR) is combining the power of technology with the beauty of fashion design. The exhibition is expected to attract influential people from the fashion industry and the local community.
Designer showrooms, virtual runways, dress try-ons, headpiece selfie lenses, panel talks, and much more will all be part of TASAWAR's immersive visitor adventure. In order to build everlasting runways that the entire world can view, this involves utilising augmented reality to bring the collections of five outstanding Saudi designers to life.
TASAWAR, which translates to "imagine" in Arabic, is an invitation sent to members of the public, designers, VIPs, and industry stakeholders to join them on a voyage of creative experiences that will, in the end, celebrate culture and heighten the senses. This occurs at a time when augmented reality (AR) technology is transforming the way people purchase and experience beauty in Saudi Arabia and throughout the world by fusing experiences from the real and virtual worlds.
With TASAWAR, the fashion industry is getting closer to the digital revolution that Saudi Arabia is now experiencing in every area. With over 22 million Saudis using Snapchat each month, the AR exhibition also hopes to provide local designers in the Kingdom the tools they need to grow their companies, tell their stories creatively, and present their collections to the global audience.
