The highly awaited decision for hosting the 2030 World Expo is imminent, with 181 countries engaged in the voting process

With 181 nations participating in the voting process, the eagerly expected decision about the 2030 World Expo host nation is quickly approaching. Three of the world's most prestigious contenders are Italy, South Korea, and Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia hopes to secure the title of the Expo's victorious host, led by the visionary Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The Expo, which in 1889 gave rise to Paris's famous Eiffel Tower, is of great cultural and economic significance. The anticipated triumph would represent a significant accomplishment for Crown Prince Mohammed's efforts to implement Saudi Vision 2030, a bold plan intended to diversify the nation's economic streams away from oil money.

Saudi Arabia has allocated $7.8 billion towards Expo 2030, indicating its commitment to making it the most impactful and sustainable Expo to date. The creative strategies for site reuse, sustainability, and innovation are all included in the architectural blueprint.

Delegates from 181 nations will participate in the voting, which is set to take place at the International Exhibition Bureau in Paris on Tuesday. If none of the candidates receives a two-thirds majority, there will be an instant second voting round.

Taking place in Riyadh from October 2030 to March 31, 2031, Saudi Arabia is set to host the World Expo with the theme "The era of change: Together for a foresighted tomorrow."

More than 80 nations across the world have endorsed Riyadh's request as they wait for the news. Let's examine why Riyadh is the best city to hold this historic occasion.

In addition to the continuing building of the "Riyadh Metro," the strategic position close to the King Salman International Airport guarantees easy access for guests.

The Expo's vision is aligned with the equator line that runs across 226 exposition pavilions, each of which has a distinctive spherical shape. This ensures participants have equal opportunity.

The visitor experience is given top priority in the design, with simple pathways connecting pavilions, public squares, cultural and innovative spaces, dining options, and lounging spots influenced by Riyadh's architectural legacy.
