The International Holy Qur’an Museum project was inaugurated at the MWL headquarters in Makkah

The International Holy Qur'an Museum project was opened at the MWL headquarters in Makkah by Dr. Muhammad Al-Issa, secretary general of the Muslim World League (MWL) and chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars. Several prominent MWL officials, professors, and worldwide scientific figures were present for the inaugural event.

Dr. Al-Issa revealed intentions to build permanent worldwide sections of the Qur'an museum for non-Muslims in various locations across the world in his inauguration speech. The MWL chairman emphasised that the MWL is one of the wonderful gifts from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Islamic world, and that the Qur'an museum is also part of the league's Islamic activities, beginning with its infancy in Makkah. He congratulated King Salman, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman for all they have done and are doing for Islam, Muslims, and mankind as a whole.

Sheikh Al-Issa stated that any visitor to the MWL headquarters can examine the museum's displays. It is also feasible for everyone else who wants to view and comprehend everything linked to the Holy Book to visit the permanent worldwide branches of the museum that will be created all over the world.

According to the head of MWL, the museum has the most well-known non-Islamic worldwide figures who have publicly expressed their opinions on the Holy Book and provided evidence to support those opinions. This will increase the legitimacy and impact of the Holy Qur'an among these individuals.

Sheikh Al-Issa emphasised the key characteristics of the museum's foreign branches, saying that the majority of them will be designed for non-Muslims and that the presentations in their native tongues will make use of contemporary technology. The museum will have a historical description of the Holy Qur'an's manuscripts, as well as a review of the most significant outcomes of conferences, forums, lectures, and literature pertaining to the Holy Qur'an and its sciences, as per Sheikh Al-Issa.

According to the head of the Muslim World League, the Department of Affairs of the Global Council of Sheikhs of Readers took part in planning the museum project. He mentioned that a group of eminent Islamic scholars would serve as the museum's advisory board, which will be chaired by representatives of the Makkah Document's Supreme Authority.
