The Ministry of Health launches a Priority digital card for elderly Saudi men and women aged above 60

The Ministry of Health has officially released the Priority digital card for Saudi men and women over the age of 60. The card is being tested on the ministry's Sehhaty electronic application, and there is no need to print it or apply for it. The ministry emphasised that all service providers in the Directorates of Health Affairs and Health Clusters in the Kingdom's regions and governorates should ease the procedures for beneficiaries who obtain a Priority Card through the Sehhaty application and provide services to them through priority offices at hospitals throughout the Kingdom.

The ministry stated that the card's introduction is in accordance with the ministry's efforts to expand its services and capitalise on existing electronic services such as the Sehhaty application. This service aims to facilitate procedures in some hospital departments, giving priority to the elderly in obtaining health services, reducing waiting times, assisting with mobility within the health facility, and assisting in communication and coordination for the distribution of medicines, medical equipment, and devices.
