In the holy city of Makkah, the Ministry of Transport and Logistics no longer accepts applications for licenses to operate public taxis or for the conversion of private cars into taxis. Saleh Al-Jasser, the minister of transport and logistics, made a choice in this respect. In accordance with the minister's decision, private taxi businesses must complete the application processes and the terms and conditions within three months of the application's submission date. After carefully considering the General Transport Authority's rules, the Law of Public Transport on Saudi Arabian Roads, and the decision to adopt the rules controlling the fee for shared taxis, taxi brokers, and guided cars.
