The second edition of the World Defense Show 2024 was inaugurated in Riyadh on Sunday

News EventMinister of Defence Prince Khalid bin Salman opened the second World Defence Show 2024 in Riyadh on Sunday on behalf of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman. Under the auspices of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the defence show is being organised by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI). At the inaugural ceremony were a number of top defence officers and ministers from friendly nations.
The Defence Show demonstrates the Kingdom's dedication to developing into a major international centre for the defence sector. The show is a manifestation of the Saudi leadership's desire to host one of the world's top specialised defence and security industry exhibitions, and it confirms the Kingdom's status as a global hub for showcasing exhibitions across a wide range of industries, particularly the military sector.
Speaking at the event, GAMI Governor Eng. Ahmad Al-Ohali expressed gratitude to King Salman and the Crown Prince for the sector's exceptional treatment and unrestricted support, which help to strengthen the Kingdom's strategic independence and work towards advancing the nationalisation of the national military industries sector in a manner that advances Vision 2030's objectives.
According to Al-Ohali, the defence expo provides a global forum for professionals, producers, and decision-makers in the defence and security sector.
