The third iteration of Azimuth will return next week, on September 21 and 22, to fill the canyons of AlUla with the sounds of its spectacular local and international roster. The much-awaited festival will launch AlUla Moments' new 2023/24 calendar on the weekend of the 93rd Saudi National Day with prominent stars including English singer-songwriter Jorja Smith and venerable UK rock band The Kooks.
Festival organisers promise nothing less than great energy, captivating live music, and amazing art displays. Several artists, including northern Mali's Tinariwen, US-based Saint Levant, Syrian-German duo Shkoon, American electronic duo Thievery Corporation, and Ame & Dixon, will perform alongside international superstars Smith and The Kooks. Other performers include South Korean DJ Peggy Gou, Australian indie sensations Dope Lemon, Chet Faker, and producer RY X, as well as international acts Smith and The Kooks.
Global and regional voices will be mixed together at the event, which will feature the Egyptian rock band Cairokee, Daneel Sayegh from Arabs Got Talent, Cosmicat, and DJs Dorar, Nomad, Amro, Nooriyah, JEME, BluePaper, Sokkary, Vinyl Mode, Husa & Zeyada, Majid, Kayan, Zone+, Baloo, Anmarz, and Narkbeat.
AlUla Moments collaborated with Spotify, the leading global streaming service, in advance of the much-awaited event so that attendees could view the lineup and listen to the artists' music via the "Azimuth AlUla Official Playlist." With "Azilook" stations for decorative cosmetics, hair, nails, and henna tattoos, the festival atmosphere will be improved. Shopping for whole festival outfits from Creative Collection, accessories from Qurmoz, or fragrances from SURGE is also possible throughout the event.
Food trucks and businesses including Gun Bun, SALT, Out of Line, Just Chill, Creamery, Baroque, and Maui will be present in the neighbourhood.
