The world’s highest prayer room ‘Sky Mussallah’ in Address Jabal Omar Makkah gets the Guinness World Record

Makkah's officially designated "highest prayer room" has earned Saudi Arabia yet another Guinness World Record. The Sky Mossallah prayer chamber, appropriately named, is situated high in the sky above Makkah. It may be found in Jabal Omar Makkah Address. Situated atop the connecting bridge that connects the twin towers of the Address Jabal Omar Makkah hotel spanning floors 36, 37, and 38, it rises to a height of 483 metres above sea level.

The area that broke the record is located 179 metres above the hotel's internal road level. With 520 seats spread across 550 square metres, the prayer area will provide guests with an amazing aerial perspective of Makkah's most revered landmarks, such as Masjid al-Haram and the Holy Kaaba. Arabic calligraphy, which adorns the walls and inscribes the many "Names of God in Islam," such as Al Muqaddim (The Advancer) and Al Mani (The Shielder and Protector), will blend Arabic and modern interior design elements.

There will also be Arabic text and passages from the Holy Quran on the walls and pillars. The new prayer room set a Guinness World Record for "Highest Prayer Room Within a Skybridge" as soon as it opened. To set this record, the prayer area was raised to its present location after being erected as a 650-ton steel bridge at an elevation of 312 metres above sea level.
