Unified Electronic Code service launched; aims to provide the latest and most reliable electronic data

In partnership with the Ministries of Commerce, Municipal and Rural Affairs, and Housing, the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority, and the General Directorate of Civil Defence, the Saudi Business Centre (SBC) has introduced the Unified Electronic Code service. By resolving the visual congestion brought on by the need that businesses show their primary data certificates at their premises and branches, this service seeks to deliver the most up-to-date and trustworthy electronic data of establishments.

It also seeks to shorten the duration of procedures related to control and inspection. The service links data from commercial registrations, tax certificates, municipal licences, and civil defence permits to the Unified Electronic Code in its initial phase.

The licences and operational data will all be covered in the next step. By giving customers electronic access to the records and certifications of businesses, the Unified Electronic Code service helps to assure data accuracy and improves the transparency of the business sector.

Owners of businesses may simply utilise the Saudi Business Center's portal to access the service. With its 17 physical locations located in 14 different cities around the Kingdom, the Saudi Business Centre provides over 750 services.

In order to help the Kingdom's economic activities get underway and continue, the centre performs a number of functions. These include suggesting the creation of policies and procedures in coordination with the appropriate governmental entities, reviewing them, and reworking them to make them more efficient and economical.
