Upto SR100,000 fine will be imposed if employers allow their staff to work for others

Employers who allow their staff to work for others or for their own account will be subject to a financial fine, imprisonment, and will be banned from recruitment as confirmed by the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat).

The financial fine can reach upto SR100,000, and the imprisonment will be for a period of 6 months, while the banning from recruiting is up to 5 years. Moreover, it has called on everyone to report those who violate the residency, labor and border security laws through calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Riyadh and Sharqiyah, and via 999 in the other regions around Saudi Arabia.
