Visit visa process in Saudi has been made easy; could be issued within five minutes

Saudi Tourism Minister Ahmad Al Khatib said that anyone from anywhere in the world will be able to get visit visas to Saudi Arabia within five minutes. He was speaking at the Davos World Economic Forum. He added that the visit visa process has been made easy and the country has come a long way in the field of tourism. He said that by 2030, the contribution of the tourism sector to the domestic production will reach 10 percent.

Tourism has potential in all provinces of Saudi Arabia. He added that investments of more than 50 billion dollars are being made as part of setting up new entertainment centers. Projects like Al Ula, Red Sea and Saudi Green will wake up the entertainment sector. The plan to plant billions of trees and the zero neutrality plan are part of this.

Earlier, the tourism sector contributed three percent of the GDP. Currently, it has increased to five percent. He also informed that the goal is to increase the contribution of the region to 10 percent by 2030.
