Laysen Valley in Riyadh is celebrating World Heritage Day on April 18 with a number of special events this week.
They take place from April 16–21 and are organized by the Heritage Commission of the Ministry of Culture. Their goal is to honor and promote Saudi Arabia's historical and cultural values and heritage through participatory and informative events.
Using storytelling, a digital light display, and live recreations of the sites, the immersive experience will take visitors to Laysen Valley to the Kingdom's eight World Heritage Sites and highlight their cultural value, according to the organizers.
A special children's section and pavilions featuring traditional arts and crafts are among the other attractions at the Heritage Day celebrations. Additionally, there will be marketplaces where craftsmen will sell their handcrafted goods, workshops, and live demonstrations by artisans. Additionally, on April 18, Wadi Al-Turath will host a number of drone performances.
