EventThe Saudi Cup returns to Riyadh. The most expensive horse racing tournament in the world is returning with an increased prize fund of $37.35 million. The 2024 races will mark the fifth edition. Set your calendars for Friday, February 23, to Saturday, February 24, 2024, when King Abdulaziz Racecourse will host the popular Saudi horse racing event's return for a fifth edition.
The Saudi Cup is scheduled for Saturday, February 24, while the International Jockeys Challenge is scheduled for Friday, February 23. One of the main Purebred Arabian races at The Saudi Cup, the Al Mneefah Cup, has a $1.5 million purse in Group 1. This surpasses the $1 million award from the previous year by much more.
Both the 1351 Turf Sprint and the NEOM Turf Cup have been moved to Group 2 for a $2 million apiece. The two-day Saudi Cup is a horse racing competition with sixteen races and some astronomically large grand prizes. Since 2020, Riyadh has hosted the well-liked event, which features competition from the best racehorses, riders, trainers, and owners in the world in the Saudi capital.
The Local Handicap, which takes place on Saturday, February 24, will now have a $1.5 million prize pool.
