NewsIn an effort to establish the Kingdom as a premier worldwide racing destination, the Qiddiya megaproject in Riyadh is poised to construct one of the most cutting-edge motorsports facilities in the world. The customisable Speed Park Track will be situated in the heart of Qiddiya City, the Qiddiya Investment Co. board of directors declared on Tuesday.
According to a press release, it will combine utility with cutting-edge technology as part of ambitions to host some of the most important racing events in the world. German circuit designer Hermann Tilke and Austrian former Formula One driver Alex Wurz created the swift course. It has 21 turns and gains more than 108 metres of elevation gain every lap by taking use of the striking terrain of Qiddiya City.
The circuit has fast open track and street circuit parts that are completely blended with the surrounding attractions of Qiddiya. There will be several fan-vantage locations and viewing terraces built all around the circuit.
With the "Blade" curve rising over a music venue below and drivers racing alongside Falcon's flight, a record-breaking rollercoaster at the nearby Six Flags Qiddiya City, the track will be connected with the surrounding attractions. The track will also cross a water park in certain places.
Part of the press release included a depiction of the tune. It comes after the megaproject announced plans to build the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium and the Qiddiya Gaming & Esports District.
In the upcoming weeks, further information on the Speed Park Track should be available.
