Your Design in Every Home competition has been launched to support home-grown industrial design talent

The Saudi Arabian Architecture and Design Commission has organised a competition named "Your Design in Every Home" to foster domestic industrial design talent. 

The competition, which is a component of the Jusoor program under the "Designed in Saudi" initiative, asks designers to develop goods for Abyat, a business that specialises in furnishing and finishing materials. The designs that receive the most votes will be made and sold, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The competition's objectives are to showcase regional talent, promote cooperation between designers and corporations, and incorporate natural and cultural variety into designs intended for domestic and international consumers. The top three will split the SR100,000 ($26,600) cash prize given out by the commission together with Abyat gift cards for shopping.
