NewsThe General Traffic Department, acting on behalf of Saudi Public Security, declared on Tuesday, Dhul Hijjah 5, or June 11, that illegal cars would no longer be allowed to enter the Holy Sites. According to the Saudi Press Agency, the prohibition will remain in effect until Dhul Hijjah 13, or June 19. Anyone found transporting pilgrims without a Hajj permit faces harsh penalties, which include up to SR 50,000 in fines and six months in jail, according to the Hajj Security Forces Command for Traffic Affairs.
In addition, if the car being transported is owned by the transporter, his accomplice, or a shareholder, the vehicle will be seized by a court order as part of the penalty for the transporter.
In the event that the transporter is an expatriate, he will be deported following his jail sentence and payment of fines, and his ability to enter the Kingdom will be prohibited for the duration of the legal prohibition.
Cases involving pilgrims who are transported illegally will be referred from field control authorities to seasonal committees stationed at the entry points into Makkah. These offenders will be brought before the committee, which will then review the infractions and render judgments and sanctions for the offenders. If you provide transportation for more than one pilgrim without a permit, the fines will treble.
The Traffic Department declared that anyone entering Makkah without a Hajj permission would be fined SR10,000. Anyone found in the holy cities of Makkah, the Central Haram Area, the Holy Sites of Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah, the Haramain train station in Rusayfah, security control centers, Hajj grouping centers, and temporary security control centers without a valid Hajj permit will face penalties. Those who disobey the rules and guidelines the ministry has set in this regard will face sanctions.
Violators, who include Saudi nationals, foreign nationals living abroad, and tourists captured within the designated region without a valid Hajj permission, will be fined SR 10,000. Among the violators are expatriates who will have their passports revoked and be prohibited from entering the Kingdom for the duration of the legal prohibition.
The Public Security stressed the significance of following the Hajj rules and guidelines in order to provide God's visitors with safety, security, comfort, and ease during their rites.
