The first stage of the Riyadh Parking project, a crucial part of the city's public parking strategy, has been launched by the Riyadh Mayoralty. Through the management of public parking, the decrease of unauthorised parking, and the improvement of traffic flow, this project seeks to enhance the quality of life.
In the first phase, more than 24,000 parking lots will be established and maintained on public roadways, in addition to more than 140,000 parking lots in residential areas. This phase will encompass twelve districts, including King Fahd, Al-Wurood, Al-Rahmaniyah, western Al-Olaya, Al-Morouj, and Al-Sulaymaniyah, in addition to four southern districts.
In addition to controlling traffic, the project aims to boost local economies by promoting business development next to public parking lots. The idea intends to draw in more buyers and sellers by offering practical parking options.
Remat Al-Riyadh Development Company, the mayoralty's development arm, and solutions by STC, a preeminent provider of digital transformation services, collaborated to create the project. The capital city's public parking lots will be managed, established, run, and maintained under this partnership's supervision.
The initiative is in line with the Riyadh Municipality's dedication to advancing Vision 2030's objectives and helping the private sector. The municipality hopes to raise the standard of living in the city by using smart city technology and putting into practice sustainable public parking alternatives.
