According to Saudi Arabia's Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal Al-Ibrahim, the country has completed half of its Vision 2030 project and will carry on with the work it started seven years ago. Al-Ibrahim discussed in his speech the Kingdom's non-oil industry's explosive expansion since the introduction of the Kingdom 2030 vision. "At 8.7%, the Kingdom's economy grew at the quickest pace in 2022, with non-oil activity contributing 5.6% of the increase.
Al-Ibrahim emphasised that because the Kingdom is at the forefront of producing the cleanest hydrocarbon energy, it plays a significant role in the fields of energy security and climate action. In terms of renewable energy, which includes green hydrogen, solar, wind, and other energy sources, Saudi Arabia is also a pioneer in this area.
The minister emphasised the need for developing a comprehensive and integrated strategy to address global economic challenges, pointing out that the international community can effectively address some of these issues and lessen their severity by embracing international cooperation, innovation, and comprehensive solutions.
