1,200 sites across various regions of Saudi being studied to determine suitable locations for solar energy projects

NewsAccording to Prince Abdulaziz Bin Salman, Minister of Energy, 1,200 sites in different parts of the Kingdom are presently being investigated to find the best places for solar energy projects. The prince announced a new direction to provide sustainable energy to businesses at a fixed and stable price for a long period, asserting that the Kingdom can do so to enhance the economic returns of facilities.
The session was titled 'The Role of Innovation and Digital Transformation in Enhancing Efficiency in the Energy Sector Towards a Sustainable Future' at the Digital Government Forum in Riyadh. The prince went on to say that the Ministry has been able to save expenses by using contemporary technology in the extraction, production, and distribution of all energy types, as well as in the production of replacement parts and equipment needed for these operations.
'Thousands' of oil and gas pipes are dispersed around the Kingdom,' he added, underscoring the significance of artificial intelligence technology in keeping an eye on a variety of nearby factors, such as upkeep, security, and safety.
